Here's What You Need to Know About Martha's Vineyard...
Greetings from Martha's Vineyard and the Winnetu Oceanside Resort!
The largest island in New England, located seven miles from the coast of Cape
Cod, Massachusetts, "The Vineyard" -- as locals call their island -- is
authentic New England at its best and different from any other place you've ever
visited.
Martha's Vineyard can be reached only by ferry or air, which means you must plan
your trip in advance -- particularly if you intend to bring your car on your Martha's
Vineyard vacation.
Martha's Vineyard has strict zoning to protect its special natural environment,
so the Winnetu Oceanside Resort is set back from Martha's Vineyard's best beach;
a.k.a., "South Beach." Located in a quiet and peaceful area, you can hear
seagulls from your deck or patio and also see the Milky Way at night without any
urban lights to disrupt your view of the stars. Yet, we're only three miles, via
the bike path, from Main Street, Edgartown with its numerous restaurants and shops.
The Winnetu Oceanside Resort doesn't fit into any standard hotel category. Don't
expect to find bell persons, room service, a full-service spa or beach attendants
here, as the Winnetu Oceanside Resort and Martha's Vineyard experience is more laid
back, and akin to visiting a nice vacation home.
As good hosts, we will welcome you and do everything we can to assist you in creating
your ideal Martha's Vineyard vacation. We will indulge you in our Lure restaurant,
which serves fresh, native coastal cuisine. You can browse in our General Store;
read by the fire in our library; lunch poolside in season; challenge your kids to
a ping-pong or giant chess match in our courtyard; bike, hike, and swim; and top
it all off with a massage.
Pack your swimsuits, khakis, and flip-flops and come prepared to enjoy a myriad
of amenities and services at our top family resort. (Click Here).
Finally, the Winnetu Oceanside Resort -- like Martha's Vineyard -- is an unpretentious,
charming place to explore and have a fun New England vacation with your friends and
family.
We welcome you to our home on the Vineyard!
